Adept Translations is the business name for freelance translator Jennifer Lowrey. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the College of William and Mary, as well as additional study in Spanish language and literature at the University of Tulsa. While at William and Mary, she was a member of Sigma Delta Pi, the Spanish language honor fraternity.
She has translated and interpreted for church groups, courtroom proceedings, and major manufacturers. In the Human Resources Department at Unit Parts Company, she has served as the bilingual representative of company management, assisting current Spanish speaking employees, hiring and orienting new Spanish speaking employees, and translating documents (including health and safety topics and company work rules). While working for Winston Services, Inc., a private investigative firm specializing in insurance fraud investigations, she conducted witness interviews, transcribed and translated witness statements from Spanish to English.
